Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, in marketing or other
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years

Physical Requirements:

The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to stand for extended periods

Candidate Status:

Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to establish and maintain contact with suppliers, negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers, and oversee the distribution of merchandise to outlets
The candidates should be able to review the requirements of the establishment, determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase, and select and purchase merchandise for resale
The candidates should be able to study market reports, trade periodicals, and sales promotion materials, visit trade shows, showrooms, factories, and product design events, and supervise the work of other buyers
