Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French or English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a Secondary School diploma and special courses combined with six months of Admitting
Experience: Candidates should have Ward Clerk experience

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have excellent computer skills with proficiency in Word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel and Access), and database programs
  • The candidates should have strong clerical skills, including the ability to maintain accurate records, interpret and apply policies and procedures, and provide routine information
  • The candidates should have knowledge of medical terminology and demonstrate respect for confidential information and possess knowledge of privacy legislation
  • The candidates should be able to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment and possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • The candidates should be able to work with individuals from diverse ethno-racial and cultural backgrounds
  • The candidates should be bilingual (French or English) or have the ability to speak a second language

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to update client databases, tracking, and census systems efficiently
  • The candidates should be able to liaise with health records to ensure accurate and timely information sharing
  • The candidates should be able to input ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfer) information and perform coordinating functions related to the triage and assessment process
  • The candidates should be able to handle other administrative tasks, including faxing, photocopying, ordering supplies, and document preparation and assist other staff within the program and support additional activities
  • The candidates should be able to maintain a high level of direct client contact, both in person and over the telephone and support a workplace that embraces diversity and fosters teamwork
  • The candidates should be able to comply with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements and available to work primarily evening and weekend shifts, with some day shifts and work at the location: 1051 Queen Street West
