Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language

Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to handle changing priorities positively and ensure that all operating and administrative problems are resolved with minimal interruption to the section’s work
- The candidates should have or be willing to develop a thorough knowledge of departmental office routines, functions, procedures for record-keeping, and employee documentation
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have university degree in a related discipline or possess a combination of education, training, and experience deemed to be equivalent
- The candidates should possess sound judgment, well-developed organizational, supervisory, administrative, and interpersonal skills, along with effective verbal and written communication abilities
- The candidates should have a working knowledge of the Criminal Code, Provincial Offences Act, and Mental Health Act
- The candidates should exhibit sound judgment supported by well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills
- The candidates should demonstrate knowledge of the Personnel Payroll System and familiarity with applicable procedures relating to the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to copy and provide relevant file excerpts as required to authorized staff and respond to external legal requests promptly and accurately
- The candidates should be able to perform data entry of police documents into departmental databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- The candidates should be able to process attendance and payroll records for department personnel, maintain vacation and lieu time records, and prepare and distribute monthly reconciliations and status reports
- The candidates should be able to assist with departmental IT requests, including maintaining an updated asset list of all computer equipment in the department
- The candidates should be able to maintain records by ensuring adherence to contractual obligations within Collective Agreements and organizational policies
- The candidates should be able to process weekly attendance for the department, ensuring accuracy in payroll records and tracking vacation and lieu time records effectively
