Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a four year university education in human resources or accounting
Experience: Candidates should have a period of over 4 years and up to 6 years experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have knowledge of accounting and payroll principles related to payroll processing and reporting systems to reconcile differences effectively
  • The candidates should possess a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation
  • The candidates should demonstrate knowledge of computer operation and data processing to utilize system and computer application programs for the production of various accounting and payroll reports for inputting, extracting, and updating reporting systems
  • The candidates should have strong experience with SAP systems or SuccessFactors Employee Central and Service Now
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with staff, internal and external parties, prepare reports and update the system to reflect terms of Collective Agreements and company policies

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to perform payroll system processing services for employees and pensioners, including validating data, testing system updates and ensuring timely completion of payroll processing jobs and interfaces
  • The candidates should be able to process payroll activities in accordance with payroll processing procedures, collective agreements, HR policies and internal controls to ensure accuracy, integrity and confidentiality of data
  • The candidates should be able to maintain payroll system updates and distribute payroll information as needed, working collaboratively within the team and all payroll-related work instruction and documentation and advocate for and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying possible trends, risks, and business improvements
  • The candidates should be able to provide advice and guidance to the Payroll Specialist or Payroll Supervisor on specific inquiries regarding pay-related matters and develop and prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for escalated requests and feedback and recommendations on potential impacts of Payroll Operations changes on technology and solutions to mitigate
  • The candidates should be able to act as a technical Payroll Operations subject matter expert for the organization and serve as a key point of contact for Payroll Operations related escalations and prepare reports to assist the Payroll Supervisor with payroll processing and to assist the business with making strategic decisions
  • The candidates should be able to assist with special payroll-related projects focused on streamlining processes and operations and implementing new payroll solutions, services, payroll calendars and processing schedules for holidays and execute mass transactions via HRDL, import, export EC and LSMW in ECC
  • The candidates should be able to support and participate in complex projects with multiple work streams and stakeholders and be subject matter experts in system testing, including creation and execution of test scripts and defect resolution
  • The candidates should be able to work with internal and external teams to manage systems-related processing and prepare internal and external reporting to meet regulatory and management reporting requirements
  • The candidates should be able to support special projects in support of various payroll initiatives and Payroll Supervisor with ad hoc requests to assist the payroll function and provide additional payroll processing support during high-volume periods as directed
