Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience, and Culinary arts/chef training
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required and be prepared for physically demanding tasks
  • The candidates should be comfortable with repetitive tasks and able to stand for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to work effectively under pressure

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should prioritize client focus and be organized
  • The candidates should be team players and excel in time management

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, including dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • The candidates should be able to plan menus, determine the size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
  • The candidates should be able to inspect kitchens and food service areas, train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • The candidates should be able to order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and clean the kitchen and work areas
  • The candidates should be able to recruit and hire staff, organize and manage buffets and banquets, and manage kitchen operations
