Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Credentials: Emergency child care first aid and CPR, member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE), First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks and handle physically demanding work while maintaining strong attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be punctual and have excellent oral and written communication skills
- The candidates should be a team player and demonstrate creativity
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children and to lead activities such as telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
- The candidates should be able to encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity, and to guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
- The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors, and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers
- The candidates should be able to plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
