Shift: 24 Hours/Week, Four (4) days per week, 6.5 hours per day

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of two year diploma or graduate certificate in Employment/Career Counselling, Social Work and Human Resources
Experience: Candidates should have at least three years of experience working with unemployed clients, conducting outreach, delivering workshops, and identifying and overseeing career and employment resources

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to provide proof of an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate proficiency in common computer applications, specifically Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assist unemployed individuals in gathering labour market and career information to support informed decision-making
  • The candidates should be able to assist clients with building and revising professional resumes and cover letters tailored to job opportunities
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate and deliver employment-related workshops that enhance clients’ job search and workplace readiness skills
  • The candidates should be able to track statistical data accurately and report on client progress and program effectiveness
  • The candidates should be able to meet monthly intake and exit targets as part of performance and funding requirements
  • The candidates should be able to complete and maintain client files related to job search activities, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • The candidates should be able to complete all paperwork required to support client services and day-to-day centre operations
