Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be willing to complete TTC’s in-house training relevant to this position
- The candidates should be flexible and willing to work shift work, as all available positions involve working various shifts (morning, afternoon, nights), including weekends and holidays
- The candidates should be able to efficiently use a variety of cleaning methods and equipment to maintain cleanliness and safety of TTC locations, equipment
- The candidates should be able to work in dirty, dusty, noisy, wet conditions, and in environments with exhaust fumes
- The candidates should be able to complete training on best procedures, safety, and security practices
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be provided with safety equipment and materials (except safety footwear, which the student will need to obtain)
- The candidates should have customer service skills, including the ability to handle customer inquiries, provide solutions, and direct questions to appropriate contacts
- The candidates should possess interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, along with good organizational skills to meet required deadlines
- The candidates should have problem-solving abilities, with an understanding of issues at hand and the ability to use TTC resources to provide the most appropriate solutions
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to undergo education, work, security, and reference checks, which will be used for employment assessment purposes only
- The candidates should be able to meet the employment condition of satisfactory reference checks, criminal record search, and pre-placement health assessment related to the position
- The candidates should be able to pass a medical and drug test as part of the certification process if the position is designated Safety-Sensitive under the TTC’s Fitness for Duty Policy
- The candidates should be able to comply with the checks and tests administered by the recruitment team upon onboarding
