Salary: $17.50 to $18.00 hourly (to be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week

Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment, Work in employer’s/client’s home

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and a repetitive tasker
  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to handle weight up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
  • The candidates should be able to work in non-smoking area

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be dependable, flexible, and reliable

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to care for pets, administer bedside and personal care, assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder)
  • The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, plan therapeutic diets and menus
  • The candidates should be able to shop for food and household supplies, prepare and serve nutritious meals, wash windows, walls and ceilings, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
  • The candidates should be able to dust furniture, make beds and change sheets, sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
  • The candidates should be able to clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
