Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience in public relations or corporate communications

  • The candidates should not get easily stressed by pressure on the contrary, a demanding and dynamic environment should energize them

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience managing internal and external communications, corporate communications, issues management, and customer engagement, ideally in a fast-paced global commercial organization or in a client-facing role
  • The candidates should possess strong project management and leadership skills with outstanding organizational and planning skills
  • The candidates should have general knowledge of various internal communications platforms, channels, and tools
  • The candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong command of the English language and the ability to simplify complicated messages
  • The candidates should feel comfortable communicating with all levels and be able to instill confidence in senior customers and peers
  • The candidates should be skilled in dealing with sensitive, complex, and confidential issues and situations
  • The candidates should be confident in providing advice to senior business leaders, including message trainings, media/stakeholder briefings, and coaching
  • The candidates should be commercially astute and able to align their objectives with those of the wider business
  • The candidates should be self-motivated, able to work autonomously, with a bias for action, reliability, and excellent presentation skills
  • The candidates should be confident in bringing new ideas

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to work cross-functionally with the Global and North America Internal Communications Teams, Key Functional/Business Unit Stakeholders, and the People & Performance team to align on communication goals and messaging for CANAC
  • The candidates should be able to create and implement the CANAC internal communications plan, ensuring alignment with global and Business Unit strategy, and effectively communicating the organization’s Purpose, Vision, and Values
  • The candidates should be able to support in the planning and management of key organizational events such as Monthly Town Halls, Business Huddles, Business Unit Conventions, Canadian BRG (Business Resource Groups focused on DEI&B initiatives), and national events, collaborating with internal stakeholders to plan and execute these events
  • The candidates should be able to drive timely and effective communications around organizational initiatives and announcements, ensuring all employees and stakeholders are effectively communicated with
  • The candidates should be able to develop content in partnership with the North America Zone creative team for CANAC key channels, including weekly newsletters, senior leadership communications and messaging, and internal employee engagement channels. They should ensure consistency of messaging and quality of all written and verbal content
  • The candidates should be able to partner with Senior Leadership, Talent Acquisition, and other relevant teams to develop effective communications across key business channels to promote the organization’s reputation as an employer of choice
