Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree or an acceptable combination of equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of five (5) years of related progressive experience in undergraduate student recruitment, preferably at the University of Toronto
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to attend and participate in various university meetings and events
- The candidates should be able to exhibit stamina for managing a dynamic and demanding work environment
- The candidates should be able to showcase the capability to travel between campuses or off-site locations as required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate experience in international and multicultural population recruitment
- The candidates should have demonstrated experience with event planning, preparing presentations, facilitating workshops, and presenting to large and diverse audiences
- The candidates should possess excellent knowledge of University of Toronto programs and admission requirements
- The candidates should have advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- The candidates should demonstrate excellent skills in student information systems (e.g., ROSI)
- The candidates should exhibit excellent public speaking skills, demonstrating energy, enthusiasm for meeting new people, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. They should have the ability to create rapport with students, parents, teachers, counsellors, and other participants of diverse backgrounds
- The candidates should have strong analytical skills, with the ability to compile and analyze complex statistical data. The candidates should also possess strong research, strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as a proven ability for problem-solving
- The candidates should have good leadership and project management skills, along with excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- The candidates should have excellent conflict resolution skills and the ability to work within a rapidly changing environment are essential. The candidates should be flexible with an ability to adapt to changing circumstances
- The candidates must be prepared to work outside normal office hours and to travel outside of the Toronto area and internationally. They should be comfortable traveling alone or with colleagues from other universities and work equally well as a team member or independently
- The candidates should have a valid driver’s license and passport are mandatory for the candidates
- The candidates should have the ability to lift and carry boxes of promotional materials (less than 10 kg)
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to conduct detailed data analysis to inform recruitment strategies and plans
- The candidates should be able to plan and implement components of recruitment-related projects
- The candidates should be able to cultivate ongoing, high-profile prospective partnerships that advance strategic agendas
- The candidates should be able to implement plans that support University and/or divisional strategic priorities
- The candidates should be able to promote programs at recruitment events
- The candidates should be able to advise potential applicants, students, parents, and/or guidance counselors on admissions criteria and processes by probing and providing a range of options and possible consequences
- The candidates should be able to direct the activities of a group of staff-appointed employees, all performing a similar function
- The candidates should be able to serve as a resource on specific issues to a group of specialists
