Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or other relevant discipline and Graduate degree such as MBA
Experience: Candidates should have 7 or more years of related experience in the hotel/short-term accommodations industry

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have exposure to similar university conference centers and/or hospitality contexts
  • The candidates should be proficient in gathering and analyzing data, utilizing insights to generate reports that inform decision-making and enhance operational efficiency
  • The candidates should exhibit strong customer service orientation and conflict resolution skills, with a focus on creating a positive and inclusive environment for all guests
  • The candidates should demonstrate proficiency in drafting contracts for groups and managing agreements for short-term stays
  • The candidates should work under pressure while balancing conflicting priorities and deadlines and possess experience in developing and managing budgets
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to implement and maintain robust financial controls
  • The candidates should support guests staying at the residence in a 24/7 environment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate experience in guest relations and addressing escalated complaints and issues promptly and effectively and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure a seamless and high-quality summer accommodations experience
  • The candidates should have experience with hotel management software and channel managers. They should also possess strong organizational skills with the ability to set strategic direction and manage day-to-day operations efficiently
  • The candidates should possess the ability to analyze program effectiveness and implement improvements to enhance the overall summer accommodations experience
  • The candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills with the capacity to build strong relationships with internal and external partners and have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to develop and implement strategic business plans and lead and manage a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • The candidates should take a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for innovation and adapting to changing market demands

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to manage the operations and staff of the summer accommodations team and set strategic direction for summer operations, focusing on continuous program development and improvement
  • The candidates should be able to establish a budget that encompasses summer business revenues from key market segments and expenses related to staffing, facilities, and other aspects of summer operations
  • The candidates should be able to oversee and support a team that manages summer accommodations, ensuring efficient and effective processes and coordinate the stakeholder group at Chestnut in delivering a high-quality summer accommodations experience
  • The candidates should be able to interact with guests, ensuring a positive experience, and responding to escalated guest complaints and issues in a timely and effective manner
  • The candidates should be able to develop contracts for groups and other short-term stays, ensuring clarity and adherence to established policies and procedures
  • The candidates should be able to analyse market segments and adjust strategies to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction during the summer season and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication for a successful summer accommodations program
