Work setting: Employer’s home, Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is not a condition of employment

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Supervise and care for multi-aged group of children 
Security and safety: Reference required

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be non-smoking and scent-free

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should prioritize client focus and possess excellent oral and written communication skills
• The candidates should demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and initiative
• The candidates should exercise good judgment, excel in time management, and be reliable team players who are organized and exhibit excellent written communication

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
• International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• The candidates should be able to travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision, housekeeping duties, and organize activities such as games and outings for children
• The candidates should be able to wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens, bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, and care for foster children
• The candidates should be able to discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, and tend to the emotional well-being of children
• The candidates should be able to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, and supervise and care for children, including preparing and serving nutritious meals, preparing infants and children for rest periods, and taking children to and from school and appointment
