Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience in employment tax compliance, with a focus on the U.S. and Canada

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate significant prior professional work experience with achievements and leadership in understanding employment tax processes, regulatory compliance, and operations or service-oriented environments
  • The candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to organize and analyze data effectively
  • The candidates should possess strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment tax regulations
  • The candidates should have a passion for continuous process improvement and simplification and exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to develop and implement best practices for employment tax compliance across the US and Canada
  • The candidate should be able to train employees involved in payroll processing on tax regulations and best practices
  • The candidate should be able to oversee and ensure compliance in payroll tax and regulatory reporting, including year-end payroll tax reporting
  • The candidate should be able to develop the strategy to complete the year-end tax reporting and filing process
  • The candidate should be able to review W-4s and T-4s with Senior Leaders to explain withholding amounts
  • The candidate should be able to ensure high quality and accuracy of service delivery through the ticketing tool ServiceNow for all payroll tax, HR compliance, and privacy-related employee questions
