Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have previous experience working with Collective Agreements
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be results-oriented and attentive to details, possess excellent management and organizational skills
- The candidates should have excellent communication skills, demonstrate a proven ability to meet tight deadlines
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have strong working knowledge of Windows-based programs Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- The candidates should possess Air Canada system knowledge, experience in In-Flight Service and Flight Operations
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to conduct in-depth schedule manipulation and analysis to support staffing requirements and determine optimal crew base allocations, maintain staffing models to ensure alignment with commercial, operational, and business
- The candidates should be able to establish forecasts and maintain metrics to align staffing models with operational results and budget requirements, ensuring deadlines for staffing decisions are met, ensure compliance with regulatory standards in all planning activities
- The candidates should be able to coordinate with Pairing Managers to adjust manpower distribution for optimized coverage and cost efficiency, provide continuous adjustments based on operational or resource plan modifications and develop contingency plans for crew availability changes
- The candidates should be able to manage weekly changes to staffing plans and schedules, identifying significant changes and highlighting variances against the budget, generate, manage, and recalibrate forecasts for model assumptions based on past performance data
- The candidates should be able to forecast yearly reserve allocations and ensure appropriate reserve levels are assigned and maintained, develop and maintain reports to track model inputs and assumptions, engaging in enhancements to improve deliverables
- The candidates should be able to continuously identify improvements to crew plans to increase staffing efficiencies, establish crew targets to support training and recruitment planning, provide schedule targets for Corporate Scheduling and communicate regular reports on performance against targets
- The candidates should be able to chair regular performance reviews with key stakeholders, reporting on current measures and future projections, proactively identify and recommend updates to crew planning processes to improve efficiency and minimize costs
