Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years’
Area of specialization: Shingled roofs, Tiled roofs

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling, handling heavy loads, and lifting up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
• The candidates should have hand-eye coordination skills and be comfortable working at heights, capable of handling dangerous tasks
• The candidates should be willing to work outdoors

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles, and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings, and install, repair, or replace built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt-saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
• The candidates should be able to apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level, install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools, and install sheet metal flashings
• The candidates should be able to install, repair, or replace shingles, shakes, and other roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings, and install, repair, or replace a single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions
