Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have advanced College Diploma (3 years) or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have minimum five years of recent relevant experience in a senior level administrative/coordinator position, preferably in higher education

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should showcase an entrepreneurial spirit that highlights the ability to effectively support a revenue-generating entrepreneurial team
  • The candidates should demonstrate proficiency in MS Office software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and web-based research. Additionally, they should have a comfort level with social media and digital technology and a willingness to learn new computer programs, including experience with Microsoft Teams/Zoom
  • The candidates should be good problem solvers with excellent attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills, and a proven ability to meet tight deadlines
  • The candidates should have the ability to maintain a positive and helpful customer service orientation and demonstrate diplomacy in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should be able to work effectively and positively with others and demonstrate a commitment to inclusive excellence
  • The candidates should perform the essential functions of the position, the candidates should be able to lift weight up to 25 kilos, mainly for the set and take down functions related to events

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience acting as the first point of contact for general inquiries for a program or department and managing senior-level calendars and scheduling appointments
  • The candidates should possess experience in writing/creating and editing communications and documents and scheduling meetings, distributing materials, and taking minutes and experience following up on action items and making recommendations
  • The candidates should exhibit experience in coordinating tasks for projects and/or strategic initiatives with stakeholders and compiling information related to new programs and/or services
  • The candidates should demonstrate experience in event planning, including hands-on planning, organizing, executing, and follow-up and handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality, supporting projects
  • The candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills required to foster a positive and productive working relationship with partners, learners, instructors, and staff
  • The candidates should have exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a strong command of grammar and English usage, including accuracy in proofreading, drafting correspondence, and editing

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to determine actionable items based on the review of applicable information and analyse administrative and information requirements
  • The candidates should be able to keep well-informed on University programs, policies, and procedures and resolve issues within the scope of the role and escalate problems
  • The candidates should be able to conduct market research and analysis and write and edit targeted communications to support strategic initiatives
  • The candidates should be able to implement project plans and determine logistical details and activities for events and/or programming
