Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French and English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of a Secondary School diploma
Experience: Candidates should have six months to one year of experience in a healthcare
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to work effectively with diverse clients and staff and the ability to collaborate in a multi-professional team environment
- The candidates should have the ability to work sensitively and diplomatically with clients from diverse ethno-racial and cultural backgrounds, as well as with teams and stakeholders
- The candidates should be reliable, cooperative, and client-focused while showing initiative as a motivated team player
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have relevant special courses combined with related field and possess a Personal Care Worker Certificate or be in the process of pursuing a certificate, diploma, or degree in a healthcare discipline
- The candidates should have CPR certification and possess effective interpersonal skills and demonstrate effective organizational, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills
- The candidates should have familiarity with clinical care and issues specific to mental health and addiction settings
- The candidates should possess bilingualism in French and English, or proficiency in a second language
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to contribute to the organization and optimal function of the Emergency Department under the direction of clinical staff
- The candidates should be able to support the maintenance of a therapeutic environment as a member of the interprofessional team
- The candidates should be able to participate in the assessment of designated patients and provide direct patient care and accompany patients for medical clearance and other transfers
- The candidates should be able to communicate both verbally and in writing about behavioral observations, assessments, and patient responses to care interventions
- The candidates should be able to actively contribute to maintaining both dynamic and static security elements of the program and service
- The candidates should be able to support a workplace that values diversity, promotes teamwork, and adheres to all regulatory and legislative requirements and work a rotating shift schedule, including weekends
