Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a Master’s Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum three years experience managing research projects in an academic or hospital environment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience managing research grants, demonstrating an understanding of the research granting life cycle and knowledge of research ethics board processes
  • The candidates should have experience in researching, identifying, and advising on funding opportunities
  • The candidates should demonstrate experience in writing grant applications, project materials, documents, and reports, contributing to research findings
  • The candidates should have experience in preparing and presenting research results
  • The candidates should possess experience in providing laboratory maintenance, including troubleshooting equipment
  • The candidates should have experience supervising research staff
  • The candidates should have proficiency in the MS Office Suite at an advanced level is required
  • The candidates should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The candidates should have a proven ability to work independently and effectively manage competing priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and quality
  • The candidates must be able to cope with pressures and deadlines while adapting to evolving processes and procedures
  • The candidates should exhibit excellent judgment and diplomacy on confidential issues
  • The candidates should have the ability to exercise a high degree of caution around health and safety practices

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to schedule day-to-day project activities, track and monitor research activities, ensuring that projects adhere to ethical and privacy requirements, and foster positive relationships with project partners
  • The candidate should be able to to research, analyze, and recommend grant opportunities
  • The candidate should be able to conduct systematic literature reviews and draft documents for knowledge translation purposes
  • The candidate should be able to write, format, edit, and track the status of grant applications
  • The candidate should be able to troubleshoot issues with lab equipment and workstations
  • The candidate should be able to supervise the activities of research assistants
